To the Right worshipp[fu]ll the Justices of Peace assembled in Sessions for the Cowntie of Wilts[hire]

The Humble petic[i]on of Thomas Champion of Downton.

Sheweth that yo[u]r Petic[i]oner serued the Parliament, in the late warrs,  by the space of three or fower yeares and in the seruice against Maidstone in Kent, was shott in both his leggs, and maymed, is a very poore man and noe way able to maynetayne himselfe his wife and children vnles his Cowntry for whose preseruation, hee hath lost his blood, lymmes, estate and tyme extende vnto him againe, some deerelye purchased subsistance.

In confidence whereof his humble suite vnto this honowrable bench is for a maynetenance accordinge to former and latter Acts and ordinances of Parliament, and yo[u]r poore Petic[i]oner shal bee incouwraged to pray &c.
