The order for Arthur Harrison of Warminster, Wiltshire, 8 January 1661

Wiltes[hire] Ad gen[er]al sessionem pacis Com[itatus] pr[e]d[ic]ti tent apud Ciuitat Nove Sar[um] pro Com[itatus] p[re]d[i]c[t]o Octovo die January Anno Regni d[o]m[ini] uri Caroli s[e]c[un]di dei gra[tia] Anglie Scot[i] Franc & Hibernie Regis fidei defensor &c duodecimo Annoq[ue] d[o]m[ini] 1660
Whereas itt appeareth to this Cort by the humble petic[i]on of Arthur Harrison of Warminster in the County aforesaid Labourer and by a Certificate vnder the hands of diuers officers of his Late Ma[jes]tie & seu[er]a{l} gentl[men] in the said County of knowne fidelity hath to his Late Ma[jes]tie & his Ma[jes]tie that nowe is [illegible] by the sai[d] Christian Reade & approued [illegible] this Sessions may a{illegible} appeare that he hath Received soe many dangerous wounds in his Late Ma[jes]ties service in his head and other p[ar]ts of his body that hee is not able to mayneteyne himselfe nor & family This Co[u]rt doth ther{fore} order that The Tresurer of the South p[ar]te of this C{ounty} for mayned [sic.] soldiers & Marriners doth pay vnto the s{aid} Arthur Harrison or to whome hee shall appoynte {illegible} Receive the same the some of Tenn Shillinges quart{erly} the First payment thereof to Comence att the next {illegible} Sessions & soe to Continue vntill this Court shall see Cause to alter the same

Wee whose Names are therevnto subscribed doe humbly desire the Justices of the peace of this County of Wiltes[hire] to augment the [illegible] penc[i]on allowed to Arthur Harrison the Penc[i]oner w[i]thin named Beinge all very sensible of his fidelity to his late Ma[jes]tie & of the many desperate & dangerous wounds that hee hath received in his seruice Wittnes o[u]r hands the day & yeere abovesaid
