The petition of Arthur Harrison of Warminster, Wiltshire, 8 January 1661

To the Right Wor[shi]ppfull the Justices of the Peace assembled att the Gen[er]all Quarter Sessions of the peace holden att the Citty of New Sar[um] for the County of Wiltes[hire] the 8th day of January 1660

The humble petic[i]on of Arthur Harrison of Warminster in the County aforesaid

<Sheweth>

That yo[u]r petic[i]oner did faythfully serve his late ma[jes]tie in all the warrs & ther in the Regim[en]t of Prince Maurice & therein received soe many wounds as by a Certificate herevnto annexed appeareth that hee is not able to relive his wife & Children w[i]thout the helpe & assistance of others

May it therefore please yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps to take the pr[e]misses into yo[u]r grave considerac[i]ons & consider of the necessity of yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner & to allowe him some yeerely penc[i]on towards the releife & maynetenance of o[u]r [sic.] petic[i]oner wife & children in his old age & yo[u]r petic[i]oner shall dayly pray
