These are to Certifie whom it may aney way Concerne that the Bearer hereof Mr Edward Vyse hath faithfully served in the late vnhappy Warrs of England in the Kings Army in w[hi]ch he behaued himselfe hansomly to the Knowledge of vs whose names are subscribed; this 30th day of March 1675.

This I doe certiffie that I knew Mr Edward Vyse ride in Maior Joshua Coopers trowpe att Lichfield in Col[one]l Richard Bagots Regement, and afterward in Col[one]l Carlos his trowpe att Tonge Castle, and I neuor heard but that he behaued himselfe [illegible] honestly & w[i]th much valor.
