These are to certifie all whome it may Concerne, that the bearer heerof Mr Edward Hudson Clerke is a sound and Orthodox divine, of a Sober and Godly Conversation, and hath alwayes been conformable to the Doctrine and discipline of the Church of England established by Law, and that, Not w[i]thstanding his blindness, he is fitt for, and Capable of Ecclesiasticall preferment. Witness my hand the sixth day of June 1660.
