The second petition of Oliver Moris of Banhadla, Denbighshire, 16 April 1667

To the right hon[oura]ble the Justices of the Peace of the said County

The humble petic[i]on of Oliver Moris Sheweth unto yo[u]r hon[ours] That yo[u]r poore petic[i]on[e]r was formerly prest in the townshippe of Priddbwll p[ar]ish of Llansilin and County affores[ai]d to bee a Souldier in his Late Ma[jes]ties unhappy warre for to Serve under the Com[m]ande of S[i]r Thomas Salesbury In which Said warre and Service yor said petic[i]on[e]r did Serve foure yeares and did receive Seu[er]all Sore wounds and was long imprisoned taken by S[i]r William Waller yet neaver did alter his engagem[en]t but was euer faithfull unto his Ma[jes]tie and Soe doeth continue.

May it therefore please yo[u]r honour[s] (the pr[e]misses considered) to take unto yo[u]r noble Considerac[i]on and to allow yo[u]r poor petic[i]on[e]r Such yearly pension for his reliefe as yo[u]r hon[ou]r[s] shall thinke fitte And yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r will dayly pray for yo[u]r hon[ou]rs health and happinesse euer to Continue

And this for Gods love.
