To the Right Wor[shi]pfull the Justices of the Peace for the County of Darby

The Petic[i]on of John Mathew of Losco in the p[ar]ish of Haynor.

Humbley Sheweth

That yo[u]r peticon[e]r was a Soldier vnder the Comand of Captaine Bagshaw at winfeild Mannor, & was then Plunderd by the Cauileirs of all the goods hee had. Since which it pleased God to Strike yo[u]r yo[u]r [sic.] peticon[e]r with lamenesse that hee is not able to helpe himselfe further then hee is Carried, That hee hath two Small Children & his wife & haue sould theire Cow & all theire househould goods & apperell to buy them bread & other sustenance.

Yo[u]r peticon[e]r humbly prayes the pr[e]misses Considered to order that yo[u]r peticon[e]r may haue some Competent allowance for himselfe & Children otherwise they are like to p[er]ish for want, & yo[u]r peticon[e]r will pray &c.
