To ye Right Hono[ura]ble ye Com[m]ittee for the Army.

The Humble petic[i]on of W[illia]m Vernham Brother & Adm[inistrato]r to Henry Vernham Troop[er] in Capt[ain] Taylors Troope in Col[one]l Fleetwoods Regim[en]t

Sheweing

That yo[u]r pet[itione]rs Brother hath bin in actuall seruice for ye parl[iamen]t from ye begin[n]ing of ye New Moddell in the Army of his Ex[cellen]cie the Lord Fairfax in Capt[ain] Taylors troope in Col[one]l Fleetwoods Regim[en]t to the 5th of July 1648 who was slayne the said day in Willoughby Field in Nottinghamshire against the Kings party as by Certificate vnder the said Capt[ain]s hand appeareth.

Yo[u]r pet[itione]rs brother having some small arreares due to him he humbly beseecheth yo[u]r Hono[u]rs Order for the stateing of his accompts & paym[en]t of his arreares according as yo[u]r Hono[u]rs haue done to others in the like kind

And he shall pray &c.

State & pay

20th Febr[uary] 1648

The s[ai]d Hen[ry] Vernham Brother to the pet[itione]r his musters are certified with the rest of Capt[ain] Taylors troope in order to the statinge of theire accounts to the 15th June 1647 and that Certifficat is in the Treasurers hands.
