To ye right Hono[ura]ble ye Com[mi]ttee for the Army.

The humble peticon of Samuell Carter.

Sheweing

That yo[u]r pet[itione]r hath faithfully serued the Parl[iamen]t as private soldier in Capt[ain] Iretons Troope in Col[one]l Rich his Regim[en]t from the begin[n]ing of ye New Modell of ye Army vnder the Com[m]and of his Ex[cellen]cie ye Lord Fairfax, And att ye Fight against Sandowne Castle rec[eive]d a Shott in his right shoulder vpon the Landing of ye Princes Forces by w[hi]ch he hath lost ye vse of it, & soe is discharged as by Certificate vnder the hands of ye said Capt[ain] & Mr Dunne appeareth.

Yo[u]r pet[itione]r hath some Arreares due to him for his seruice, beseecheth yo[u]r Hono[ur]s to giue order that his accompts may be stated & w[ha]t is due thereupon to be paid.

And he shall pray &c.
