The petition of Thomas Deane of Bollinfee, Cheshire, 13 July 1652

To the Ho[noura]ble the Justices of peace in the county of Chester at the Quarter Sessions houlden at Namptwych the xiiith day of July 1652
The humble petic[i]on of Thomas Deane of Bollen Fee in the said county husbandman
Sheweth vnto yo[u]r worshipps
That wheras yo[u]r said poore petic[i]on[e]r being a maymed souldier & haveing nothing to relieve himselfe his wyfe & poore chilldren w[i]thall but what is allowed by the Justices of the Bench whose name is Inrolled & is to haue his yearly paye from the Treasurer appointed to pay over the same, And wheras yo[u]r said poore petic[i]oner is in Arreare & behynd the some of Fourty shillings w[hi]ch should haue beene payd vnto yo[u]r said petic[i]oner two yeares past by the treasurer appointed for that purpose but is still neglected & cannot haue it haveing had orders at this bench this tyme Twelvmonth for receaving of the same some of Fourty shillings.
In tender considerac[i]on herof yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner prayeth that yo[u]r worships would grant that that [sic.] hee may haue his said Arreares from the treasurer appointed & as hath beene allready hertofore Allowed & graunted And yo[u[r said petic[i]oner will ever pray for yo[u]r healthes & p[ro]speritye in the Lord
And this for gods cause
