The humble petic[i]on of Adam Hodgson, Raph Aynscough, John Higham, Thomas Ranson, Thomas Hodgson, John Grymshaw, James Marsh, Ann Lowe, Raph Whitle, Hugh Walmough, James Walmough, Alice Bradley widow of Aspull & Blackrode
Sheweth
That yo[u]r petic[i]on[er]s have served his late Royall Ma[jes]ties in the late wars & have beene very faithfull subiects & have beene [illegible] greatly wounded & much depoverished thereby & have doe now receave a small penc[i]ons of x s. a yeare which are is litle correspondant to their fidelity & sufferings Now yo[u]r petic[i]oners humbly pray that they may have their penc[i]ons augment [sic.] theire beeinge seu[e]rall of the maymed souldiers which receaved pay decease{d} This Courte about 8 yeares since p[ro]mised yo[u]r petic{ioners} that they would have an augmentac[i]on soe soone {as} any died or that there was any monys remaining in the treasurers hand wherevpon yo[u]r petic[i]oners submitt themselves vnto yo[u]r wor[shi]pps pleasures
