The humble Petition of Robert Oak Oakell a poor distressed Prisoner for debtt in the Castle of Chester at all humility
Sheweth
That yo[u]r Petition[e]r dureinge all the time of our unnaturall warrs was a true souldier and actuall[y] in armes (w[i]thout any reuoultinge, both to his deceased Maiestie and allsoe to his Maiestie that now is) wherein hee receiued not only seuerall wounds, but allsoe by sequestration and otherwise was and is not only vndonne in soe much that now hee is become a Prisoner as afforesayde where uppon yo[u]r Petition[e]r beeinge in distresse, humblely [sic.] made bould to petition yo[u]r Wors[hi]pps att the last quarter Sesions held at Middlewitch to bee Admitted a Pentioner but was not then admitted in regard all was was full onely promised the First vacancie.
The pr[e]misses tenderly considered and that a Pentioner Formerly liueinge in Broxten hundred is since the last Sessions deceased ytt is by your Petitioner humblely craued that hee may now bee admitted in his roome and steed in soe doeinge as in duty hee will euer pray For you]r eternall felicyties
to bee admitted next vacancy
