The petition of Robert Evans of Bangor, Carnarvonshire, 1660

To ye right woor[shi]p[fu]ll the Justices of ye peace for ye Countie of Caern[ar]von
The humble petic[i]on of Robert Evans of Bang[o]r in ye s[ai]d Countie smith
Humbly Sheweth
That y[ou]r petic[i]oner for many yeares togeath[e]r hath serv[e]d his late Ma[jes]tie King Charles ye first (of blessed Memory) in ye late warres & distemp[e]rs in England & Wales & therein had & suffered many dangerous shotts & bloody wounds, by reason whereof he is disinabled to exercise his calling & profession for the maintenance of himselfe & poore wife.
May it therefore please yo[u]r woor[shi]ps to take ye pr[e]mises to y[ou]r serious Considerac[i]on, & allow y[ou]r suppliant petic[i]on[e]r ye stipend & salary for maimed sould[ie]rs in such case by law prouided, as y[ou]r Gravity & discretion shall thinke fit, & y[ou]r petic[i]on[e]r shall euer pray &c.
