The humble petic[i]on of Robert Edge of Stretford.
Humbly sheweth
That whereas yo[u]r humble petic[i]on[e]r did in the Late wars in his Late Ma[jes]ties service serve as a souldier And hath heretofore beene Allowed 25 s. a yere And of late but 10 s. a yeare. And being now beinge disinabled in his Lims soe that hee Can in no wise [illegible] gett any thing towards thise mayntenance of himselfe wife or Children for yt hee is in great want of Reliefe
The premisses Considered yo[u]r humble petic[i]on[e]r Craues yt yo[u]r worships would grant yo[u]r order that his former allowance of 25 s. or more as to yo[u]r discresion shall thinke fitt may bee allowed to yo[u]r petic[i]oner his necesitie being so greate and yo[u]r humble pettic[i]on[e]r shall humbly pray as in dutie bound for yo[u]r health and happinesse.
