The petition of Richard Bye of Chippenham, Wiltshire, 11 April 1659

To ye Right Hon[oura]ble the Justices of the Peace at theyr Gen[er]all Quarter Sessions of the Peace assembled the 11th day of Aprill 1659 att the Deuizes in the County of Wiltes[hire].

The Humble peti[ti]on of Richard Bye of Chipenham in the County aforesayd a maymed Souldier

<Most> Humbly acknowledgeth the fauor of this Court in that they haue helped him in his sad and deplored Condition and did as well continew his pention of three pounds p[er] an[num] as alsoe allow the sume of Fortie shillinges to his pr[e]sent releife by theyr Order made at the Last gen[er]all Quarter Sessions of the peace holden at New Sarum the Eleuenth day of January 1658 and is thereby (by Reason of the sad Condicion yo[u]r peticion[e]r is now in) imboulden[e]d to request the fauor of this Hon[oura]ble Court that his pention of three pounds p[er] an[num] may be made the sume of fiue pounds p[er] an[num] for which yo[u]r peti[ti]on[e]r shall eu[er] pray &c
