The petition of Moris Johnes of Llanraeadr, Denbighshire, 15 January 1669

The humble petic[i]on of Moris Johnes of the p[ar]ish of Llanrhyder.

Humbly shewing to your worshipps that yo[u]r peticc[i]oner hath very faithfully served his late ma[jes]tie of Blessed memory in the late vnhappy warres vnder the com[m]and of liftenant Col[one]l Maurice Wynne in the Regiment of Col[one]l William Salisbury and hath ever sence continiued very faithfull and Loyall as I am informed by meanes whereof yo[u]r peticioner is become very poore and Indigent as will appeare to yo[u]r worshipps by the certificate Anexed.

May it therefore please yo[u]r worshipps to admit yo[u]r petic[i]oner to receave releefe according ye late Acte for releefe of Indigent and Loyall shoulder [sic] and yo[u]r peticioner shall Ever pray.
