The petition of Mary Ranson of Aspull, Lancashire, 3 May 1677

To the right wor[shi]pp[fu]ll his Maj[es]ties Justices of the Peace and Quoru[m] att the generall Quarter Sessions of the Peace held att Manchester the third day of May in the yeare of our Lord 1677.
The humble Petic[i]on of Mary Ranson of Aspull in the County of Lancaster spinster.
Sheweth
Vnto yo[u]r Worr[shi]pps that yo[u]r poore petic[i]on[er]s Father is dead who in his life tyme had the Souldiers pay allowed him & this yo[u]r Petic[i]oner beinge the youngest daughter of her fathers who is a very great Object of Charitty beinge she is Lame & not able to worke for her liveinge She therefore desires yo[u]r worr[shi]pps would bee pleased to allow her one years pay towards her releife & yo[u]r Peti[ti]oner will ever pray.
These may Certifie that Thomas Rawnson of of [sic.] Aspull was Buryed at the Parish Church of Wigan vppon the second day of december 1675.
