To the Kings most Excelent Majestie

The humble Peticon of Major Mathew Scales.

Sheweth

That yo[u]r Pet[itione]rs services, and sufferings, for his late Ma[jes]tie of ever blessed memory, & his continued Loyalty to yo[u]r Ma[jes]tie, doth appeare by the Certificate annexed, And for as much as he is desireous not withstanding his wounds maimes & losse of blood, to serve yo[u]r most sacred Ma[jes]tie with his life & all he hath soe farr as God shall enable him to promote yo[u]r Ma[jes]ties interest.

Yo[u]r Pet[itione]r most humbly prayeth yo[u]r Ma[jes]tie to to be graciously pleased to conferre upon him a place in yo[u]r Ma[jes]ties Customes as a Kings Waiter in ye Custome house London

And yo[u]r Pet[itione]r shall ever pray &c
