To ye right Hono[ura]ble ye Com[m]ittee for the Army.
The humble petic[i]on of John Aystill Father & Adm[inistrato]r of Paul Aystill Troop[er] dec[eased] al[ia]s Austin.
Sheweing
To yo[u]r Hono[u]rs that yo[u]r pet[itione]rs sonne faithfully serued ye Parl[iamen]t as Troop[er] in Capt[ain] Burgesses troope in Col[one]l Hortons Regim[en]t fro[m] the beg[inn]ing of ye New Moddell in the Army of his Ex[cellen]cie ye Lord Fairfax In w[hi]ch seruice he rec[eive]d very greivous & dangerous wounds by meanes of w[hi]ch sickenes & lamenesse attended thereupon, whoe for cure went to ye Hospitall, & there dyed thereof, as by Certificates hereunto annexed doe appeare
In regard whereof yo[u]r pet[itione]r most humbly prayes yo[u]r Hono[u]rs to giue order for the stateing of yo[u]r pet[itione]rs sonnes accompts & paym[en]t of his arreares as yo[u]r Hono[u]rs haue done to others in the like case.
And yo[u]r pet[itione]r shall pray
State & pay

<That ye Com[missa]ry Generall of ye Musters or his Deputy doe forthwith certify this Com[mi]ttee how Paul Austin stood vpon the seu[er]all musters of the Army & doe affix the same to this petic[i]on.>
