The humble Petic[i]on of Joane Smalle widowe

Humblie shewing

That John Small this petic[i]on[e]rs late husband was slaine in the service of the p[ar]liam[en]t at the Myddlewych & left behynd him this petic[i]on[e]r and Five small child[ren] & nothing to mayntayn them w[i]thall

This petic[i]on[e]rs humble request to this ho[noura]ble bench is that she may receive yo[u]r wor[shi]ps ord[e]r to the Tre[asure]r for Macc[lesfield] hundred for such money & in such manner as yo[u]r wisdomes shall thinke meete. And this petic[ion]er will pray &c

Mr Moland it was ordered that the petitioner should haue allowed for her selfe and fiue Children 3 l. p[er] ann[um] whereof 20 s. to bee payd in hand and wee desire the order may bee drawne vp accordingly Octo[ber] 10th 1649
