The petition of Jane Jackman of Devizes, Wiltshire, undated

To the Right Hon[oura]ble ye Justices of the Peace For the County of Wilts[hire]
The Humble petic[i]on of Jane Jackman of the Deuizes in this County widdow
Humbly sheweth
That whereas this Hon[oura]ble Court was pleased at the last Quarter Sessions to take notice of my petic[i]on then pr[e]sented vnto yow: And did then take the Sad & Distressed Condic[i]on of yo[u]r Poore petic[i]on[e]r into yo[u]r serious considerac[i]on and did of yo[u]r Clemencie afford me that pr[e]sent relife by which yo[u]r poore peti[ti]on[e]r and Familie were much Refreshed and Comforted for all which yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r returneth to this Court her Humble thanks But haueing since Receiued A Letre from his excellency the Lo[r]d Gen[er]all Crumall [sic.] to yow Directed with whom yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]rs Husband & Sonn went Chirurg[e]o[n] and mate into Ireland and there both Dyed: The seruice which they did both there and elce where [illegible] is well knowne to his excell[ency]: thus trusting on yo[u]r Clemencie I haue pr[e]sumed to pr[e]sent It vnto you Humbly praying this Con[oura]ble [sic.] Court that the distressed Condic[i]on of ye peticion[er] may be taken into yo[u]r Considerac[i]on she haueing six smale children and not wherewithall to maintaine them: and as in Dutie bound

Augm[en]t the penc[i]on to 10 li. p[er] Ann[um] and let her haue 1 li. in hand to be paid by the Tresurer of the north p[ar]te
