The petition of Elizabeth Rogerson, Ellen Cotton, and Anne Parker, all of Northwich, Cheshire, Easter 1652

To the hono[ura]ble the Justices assembled at the sessions at Midlew[i]ch
The humble petic[i]on of Elizabeth Rogerson Ellen Cotton & Anne Parker widowes.
Sheweth
That by an ord[e]r of yo[u]r hono[u]rs made at last Quart[e]r sessions at Northw[i]ch yo[u]r pet[itione]rs necessitous condic[i]on [illegible] was recom[m]ended to the considerac[i]on & competent allowance of the Churchwardens & ou[er]seers of the poore of for theire p[ar]ish with a further direcc[i]on in the said ord[e]r by yo[u]r hono[u]rs that yo[u]r pet[itione]rs at this [illegible] sessions should be admitted penc[i]on[e]rs at a yearely allowance.
That the said ord[e]r was accordingly deliu[er]ed by yo[u]r pet[itione]rs to the s[ai]d Church wardens who haue afforded little reliefe to yo[u]r pet[itione]rs according to yo[u]r ord[e]r and haue now by theire neglect lost the same as they pr[e]tend
May it please yo[u]r hono[u]rs to consider yo[u]r pet[itione]rs condic[i]on and by yo[u]r ord[e]r to allow them some yearely penc[i]on as to yo[u]r hono[u]rs shall seeme expedient to theire necessities
And yo[u]r pet[itione]rs will pray &c
