To ye Right Hono[ura]ble ye Com[m]ittee for the Army

The humble petic[i]on of Katherine Elizabeth Morton widow & Adm[inistrat]r[i]x to John Morton dec[ease]d.

Sheweth

That yo[u]r pet[itione]rs husband John Morton faithfully serued the Parl[iamen]t as Troop[er] in Col[one]l S[i]r Rob[er]t Pyes owne Troope in the Army of his Ex[cellen]cie the Lord Fairfax from the begin[n]ing of ye New Moddell till the 5th of January 1645 att w[hi]ch tyme he dyed, haueing receaued diuerse desperate wounds att Edge hill & Yorke Battell haueing left yo[u]r pet[itione]r with 2 small children very poore as by Certificate vnder ye Capt[ain’s] hand doth appeare.

In considerac[i]on whereof yo[u]r pet[itione]r humbly prayeth yo[u]r Hono[u]rs to giue order for the stateing her husbands accompts & paym[en]t of that small arreare, that is due therevpon.

And shall pray &c. [sic.]
