The humble Petic[i]on of Edward Humston of Fulke Stapleford
<Humbly Sheweth.>
That yo[u]r Peti[ti]on[e]r hath beene a true loyall & faithfull Subject to his late Ma[jes]tie of Euer blessed memory, and alsoe to his Ma[jes]tie: That now is, and upon his engagem[en]ts in Seuerall Fights in the late vnhappy Warrs, yo[u]r Peti[ti]on[e]r receiued seuerall hurts & wounds & sustayned many losses & damages, whereby hee is now reduced into a poore and necessitous Condic[i]on, as by the Certificate herevnto annexed more fully may appeare & there is become a person & fitt object of yo[u]r Wor[shi]ps Favo[u]r:
May it therefore please this Wor[shi]p[fu]ll Bench to take the pr[e]misses into yo[u]r Serious Considerac[i]on and please to grant yo[u]r Ord[e]r that yo[u]r Peti[ti]on[e]r may bee admitted one of his Ma[jes]ties Pension[e]rs w[i]thin the Hundred of Broxon upon the first Vacancy that shall or may happen upon the death of any Pension[e]r now admitted
And yo[u]r Peti[ti]on[e]r shall euer pray &c:
I doe conceiue yt the Peti[ti]on[e]r according to ye annexed Certificate is a fitt person to bee admitted a Pensioner
