The petition of Corporal Thomas de la Planch, Thomas Horton’s Regiment, 2 February 1649

<Petic[i]on of Thomas de la Planch.>
To ye right Hono[ura]ble the Com[m]ittee for the Army.
The humble petic[i]on of Thomas de la Planch
Sheweing that yo[u]r pet[itione]r hath serued as Troop[er] Corp[or]all in Capt[ain] Edw[ard] Foleys troope, form[er]ly in the Regim[en]t of Colone]l Butler & since in Capt[ain] Burges his troope in Col[one]l Hortons Reg[imen]t from the begin[n]ing of ye new Modell vntill February 1648 dureing w[hi]ch tyme he behaued himselfe very faithfully & honestly, and att ye Leagre before Pembroke was shott in his right Arme, by which he hath lost the vse thereof, to his vtter vndoeing as by Certificate vnder Capt[ain] Burges & Mr Dunne the surgeon appeareth.
In considerac[i]on whereof, yo[u]r poore pet[itione]r being left in a most sad condic[i]on, being destitute of a way how to p[ro]cure his subsistence most humbly prayeth yo[u]r Hono[u]rs to giue order his accompts may be stated, & what is due therevpon to be paid
And he shall pray &c.

<That ye Com[missa]ry Gen[era]ll of ye Musters or his Deputy doe forthwith certify this Com[mi]ttee how ye pet[itione]r stands vpon the seu[er]all Musters of ye Army & doe affix the same to this petic[i]on.>
