The Petition of widdow Anne Haywood widd[ow]
Humblie sheweth
That where as yo[u]r Petitioners Husband serued the Parlament euer since the beginning of these wars with much diligence and fidelitie and now lately in the Capacitie of gunners in the Castell of Westchester where officiatinge ye dutie of his place was slaine, by the losse of whose life your Peti[ti]oner beinge lefte a widdow with foure fatherless Children lieinge open to many inconueniences and invincible nessessities which alwaies attende such deplorable Conditions, your Poore Petitioner therefore.
Out of an Humble Confidence yt your Honor will be pleased for to take her into your Charitable consideration her Condition beinge a proper obiecte of commiseration and to assiste her in procuringe a widdows Pention towards the releife of her and Her foure Children in reference vnto the ordinance of Parliament prouided in such case that then the dew of heauen and earth all inward and outward blessings here in this world and euerlastinge happines hereafter shall be the Continuall
