The petition of Anne Gale, residence unknown, 4 March 1649

To ye Right Hono[ura]ble the Com[mi]ttee for the Army
The humble petic[i]on of Mrs Sarah Anne Gale late wife & Adm[inistrat]r[i]x of Capt[ain] Renold Gale
Sheweth
That yo[u]r pet[itione]rs husband serued the Parl[iamen]t as Capt[ain] of a foote Company in Col[one]l Pickerings now Col[one]l Hewsons Regim[en]t in ye Army of his Ex[cellen]cie the Lord Fairfax and vpon the storme of Bristoll was slayne as by Certificate vnder the hand of the L[ieutenan]t said Colonell appeareth Axtell appeareth
There being some small arreares due for his seruice yo[u]r pet[itione]r humbly prayeth yo[u]r Hono[u]rs to giue order for the stateing of yo[u]r pet[itione]rs husbands accompts & paym[en]t thereof.
And shee shall pray &c.

Att ye Com[mi]ttee of Lords & Com[m]ons for the Army. 4o Martii 1648.
Ordered
That ye Com[missa]ry Generall of ye Musters or his Deputy doe forthwith certify this Com[mi]ttee how the pet[itione]rs husband stood vpon the seuerall Musters of ye Army & doe affix the same to this petic[i]on.
