This is to Certifie that Capt[ain] Renold Gale of the late Col[one]l pickering now Col[one]l Hewson Regm[en]t Did receue noe free q[uar]t[e]r from the therd of Ap[ri]ll 1645 vntell the eighth of August 1645 being all that time in constant pay: vntell wee besieged Bridgwater Sherborne Castell and Bristoll in wich leagers there was only a want of pay: And he mentayned himself duering that faylor of pay: vntell the day he was slayne wich was in August as aforesaid. Giuen vnder our hands this 5o of March 1648.
