The humble petic[i]on of Alice Webster of Nether Knuttesford wid[ow] sheweth

<That:>

By order of Sessions holden at Knuttesford afores[ai]d vpon the 21 January 1650 vpon the Pet[itione]rs humble request declaring that her husband was slayne in the cause of the Parl[iamen]t of England against Scotland, the Churchward[ens] of & overseers of the p[ar]ish of Rosthorne were to pay to the pet[itione]r 18 d. a weeke for & towards the Mainta[i]n[an]ce of her and her three small children. That notwithstand[ing] an other ord[e]r in pursuance of this the Pet[itione]r hath not rec[eive]d any more then 17 s. 4d. And forasmuch as the Inability of the p[ar]ish is manefested by the non paym[en]t shee humbly

Prayeth That shee with other widdowes of like pittifull Condic[i]on her estate Considered (havinge nothinge wheron to maynteyne herselfe or them) may bee admitted a Pentioner, at the rate yo[u]r w[orshi]ps Charity shall prompt you to, And shee will pray &c
