Notes

Upon the petition of Thomas Whitlock, showing that he was a soldier for the Parliament under the command of Colonel Jackson; in which service he was maimed, and had a yearly pension formerly granted him of forty shillings. Which by reason of his, the said Whitlock, being sent a soldier into Ireland, and not returned for the space of five years now last past until within this month, the payment of the said pension was discontinued for all the time of his said absence. And forasmuch as it yet appears that the said Whitlock is not cured of the wounds he received in the said service, it is ordered by the court that from henceforth he shall receive his said pension of forty shillings yearly, as formerly he did, until good cause be shown to this court to the contrary.
