Upon the petition of Henrie Bickerstaffe of Tunstall Court, showing that he was pressed a soldier for Tunstall aforesaid, and sent into Ireland, where he served under Colonel John Hewson until he was most grievously wounded, and sent over into England for relief; by reason of which wounds the said Bickerstaffe is unable to work for his livelihood as formerly he has done. And forasmuch as since the last sessions it likewise appears that Richard Ward of Burslem within Tunstall Court aforesaid (who had a pension of forty shillings a year is dead, it is therefore ordered by the Court that the petitioner shall from henceforth receive the said yearly pension of forty shillings which was formerly paid to the said Ward.
