The order for John Scutt of Warminster, Wiltshire, 15 January 1649

Ad gen[er]alem Sessionem pacis Com[itatus] p[re]dicti tent apud Novam Sar[u]m decimo quinto die Januarii, Anno D[o]m[in]i, millimo sexcentessimo quadragesimo nono.

Whereas this Court is informed by the humble petic[i]on of John Scutt of Warminster in this county as alsoe by the Certificate vnder the hand of John Warren Maior of the Citty Regim[en]t of dragoones for the releiffe of Taunton as alsoe the hand of George Dunne, Chirurgion to the same Regim[en]t, that he hath served the state & was Maymed in that service by receiveinge a wound in his left Arme, whereby he is disabled to releiffe himselfe by his labour, This court doth therefore order, that the Tre[asure]r of Maymed souldiers & marriners for the south p[ar]te of this county to pay vnto the sayd John Scutt the some of forty shillings p[er] Annu[m] to be payd him quarterly the first payment to begin att our Lady day next & to continue vntill this Court shall otherwise order the same.
