The order for John Head of Easton, Wiltshire, 9 January 1649

Ad gen[er]alem Sessionem Pacis d[omin]i Reg[i]s Com[itatus] p[re]d[icti] tent[um] apud Novam Sarum in ead[em] Com[itatus] Novo die Januarii Anno Regni d[o]m[ini] n[eg]ri Caroli dei gra[tia] Anglie Scotie Fraunc & Hib[er]n[ia]e Regis fidei defensor &c Vicesimo Quarto 1648
Whereas it appeareth to this Co[u]rt by Petic[i]on and Certificate that John Head of Eston w[i]thin this County beinge a very poore man & haueinge a chardge of a wiffe & three children & beinge lame in his lymmes by reason of hurts & bruses hee tooke in the Parliam[en]t service vnder the Comaund of the Earle of Essex wherevpon this Co[u]rt by vertue of an Ordinaunce of Parliam[en]t in that behalfe made doth order that the Treasurer of Maymed souldyers & marryners for the North parte of this Countie doe forthw[i]th pay to the sayd John Head the Some of Twenty shillings form[er]lie allowed him by Richard Goddard William Sadler and William Littleton Esq[ui]r[e]s Justices of the Peace of this County And that he further pay to the sayd John Head tenn shillinges quarterly from this pr[e]sent Sessions to continewe till this Co[u]rt shall otherwise order the same
