The order for John Harrison of Gresford, Denbighshire, 23 March 1664

To Mr Thomas Pritchard clark of ye peace for ye maymed soldiers in ye s[ai]d County

Whereas upon ye {illegible} of ye Petition & certifficate annexed It doth appeare vn{to} vs that John Harrison of ye p[ar]ish of Gresford in ye s[ai]d County was a soldier in Actuall seruice in ye late wars in ye seruice of his late Ma[jes]ty of blessed memory, that he was maymed in ye should[e]r wherby he is vnable to work, that he hath always continued loyall, that he is nere fourscore yeares of age and that he is poore and necessitous These are therefore to Authorise & require you to pay vnto ye s[ai]d John Harrison ye summe of fiue shillings towards his releef till ye next sessions to be held for ye s[ai]d County and to allow him at ye rate of fiue shillings quarterly ye first paym[en]t therof begin at the next q[ua]rter sessions for w[hi]ch this shal be yo[u]r war[ran]t Giuen vnd[e]r our hands & seales the 23th day of Mar[ch] 1663.
