The order for John Barnes of Weekley, Northamptonshire, 5 September 1662

<North[amp]ton S[ession]s>
Whereas itt hath beene made appeare vnto vs That John Barnes of Weekly in the County of North[amp]ton[shire], was A Trooper in S[i]r William Comptons Regem Troope vnder the Comand of the Right hono[ura]ble The Earle of North[amp]ton where hee faithfully served his Ma[jes]tie in the warres, and neuer since deserted his service, As by A Certificate vnder their hands & Seales (A Copy whereof is herevnto annexed) doth now fully appeare, And whereas the said John Barnes hath not Obtained any Office or imployment, And being indigent & in wants of A sufficient Livelihood to maintaine himselfe & his wife & Children Wee therefore, his Ma[jes]ties Justices of the peace for this County by vertue of an Act of this pr[e]sent Parliam[en]t, Entitled an Act for the releife of poor & Maimed Sould[ie]rs & Officers who haue faithfully serued his Ma[jes]tie & his Royall father in the late warres, Doe judge itt meete that for the releife of the said John Barnes, The treasurers for Maimed Sould[ie]rs for the said County shall Allow him The sume of two pounds ten shilling yearly & the same to be paid every halfe yeare (vizt, att Mich[ael]mas & Easter Sessions, & the first paym[en]t to begin att St Michael Th’archangell next Ensuing In Wittnes whereof wee haue herevnto sett o[u]r hands & Seales the 5th day of Sept[em]b[e]r In the yeare of o[u]r Lord 1662 And in the 14th yeare of his Ma[jes]ties Raigne
