The certificate for William Perry of Bratton, Wiltshire, 2 May 1650

The Ordinance of Parliament denyes the Treasurers for releife of maymed sould[ie]rs widdowes & Orphants to maynetaine the said William Perry, but he must be maynetayned & allowed the sume of two shillings six pence each weeke, where he last Inhabited which is in Bratton in the Parish of Westberry vnder the plaine in the County of Wilts[hire] when first he went out in the service of the State. And further these are to Certify you that the said William Perry hath been searched by most of the sufficient Chirurgions in o[u]r hospitall, who is found a maymed man for ever for helping of himselfe in any Labo[u]r whatsoeu[er]
