Whereas it was made appeare to this Court that William Hassell of the p[ar]ish of St Mary Magdalen in the Suburbes of the Citie of Oxon listed himselfe as a Souldier vnder the Comaund of S[i]r Charles Vavester at Hanckelow in the [illegible] County of Chester for his late Ma[jes]tie of ever blessed memory & afterwards was a Sergeant in the Company of Captaine Randolph Edgerton vnder the Comand of the Lord Gerrard & faithfully served his late Ma[jes]tie dureing the warrs & is truely indigent the Considerac[i]on of the said William Hassells condic[i]on is referred to the Justices of the peace for the County of Chester in regard Hanckelow is was his place of settlement when hee tooke vpp armes.
