Wee whose names are vnderwritten doe hereby certifie all whome it doth or may concerne that William Hassell of St Mary Magdalene parish in the Suburbes of the Citie of Oxon was a Souldier For his late Ma[jes]tie of ever blessed memorie & doe beleive that hee continued ever faithfull & loyall to his said late Ma[jes]tie in the tymes of rebellion & vsurpac[i]on & to {his} Ma[jes]tie that now is & that hee is truely indigent In testim[ony] whereof wee have herevnto sett our hands the [illegible] Nyne & [illegible] Twentieth day of December in the 14th yeare of his Ma[jes]ties Raigne &c
