I do certefy that the bearer herof Will[iam] Adderton did come as a volentier to the seruise of his late M[ajes]tie in the beginninge of the Warrs vnder the command of Earle Riuers and was at Edge Hill fight and so continewed in the seruise vnder my command vntell the end of the said Warr in which he receiued seuerall shots as are to be seene upon him, and therfor I conceaue fite to be prepared for by the Act for the relief of poore and maumed souldiers
