To the hono[ura]ble the Com[missione]rs for the distributinge the Monies by the Act of Parliament amongst the truely loyall & Indigent officers souldiers &c

Theis are to Certifie that it doth appeare vnto vs That William Adderton of the parish of St Buttolph Allgate in the County of Midd[lese]x was wa voluntier in the beginning of the Warrs vnder the Comand of Earle Rivers & was at Edghill fight vnder S[i]r John Boys & soe continued in the said warres vntill the end thereof in w[hi]ch service hee received severall shotts w[hi]ch are to be seene vpon him & that hee is truely loyall & Indigent & hath never to the best of our knowledge or informac[i]on deserted his Ma[jes]ties or his blessed fathers service during the late times of rebellion & vsurpac[i]on & that hee hath not a sufficientt lyvelyhood of his owne, nor hath since his maiesties returne obtained any reward recompence or [illegible] imployment sufficient for a livelihood Wherefore wee doe hereby recomend him as a fitt person to receive a proporc[i]on of all such moneys or penc[i]ons as are to be by you distributed according to Acte of Parliament Given vnder our hands & seales this [blank] day of September 1662.
