These are to Certifie yt Leiut[enan]t Stoddard hath served ye parl[ia]m[en]t as Leiut[enan]t in Capt[ain] Symmons his Company in the Reg[i]m[en]t which was of Late Serg[ea]nt Maior Gen[era]ll Skyppons ever since my Lord fairfax Rec[eive]d his Commission from the parl[ia]m[en]t, as Gen[era]ll of all the forces of this kyngdome, & hath beehaued himselfe Honestly faithfully, & valiantly, in the discharge of yt trust which was Reposed in him, & soe Continued till hee was slaine in the present service, testified vnder my hand this 14th of February 1648
