To the hono{ur}able the Comissioners for distributing the Moneyes {gi}ven by Act of Parliam[en]t amongst the truly Loyall & Indigent Souldjers.

These are to certifie That it doth appeare unto us yt Thomas Berry of W{r}ightington in ye County of Lanc[aste]r yeoman was a souldier in Collonell Edward Chisnall owne foot Company in his majestyes service for many yeares togeth[e]r, & yt hee is truely Loyall & Indigent And hath never to the best of our knowledge or Informac[i]on deserted his majestyes or his blessed fathers service dureing the late times of Rebellion & vsurpac[i]on & yt hee hath not a sufficient Livelyhood of his owne nor hath since his majestyes retorne obtained any reward office or Imployment suffic[ien]t for a livelyhood Wherefore wee doe hereby recom[m]end him as a p[er]son fit to receive a p[ro]porc[i]on of all such moneyes as are to bee by y[o]w distributed according to Act of Parliament
