The certificate for Simon Ramsey of London (St Andrew Holborn Parish), Middlesex, 14 August 1664

These are to Certifie all whome they may Concerne that the bearer hereof Simon Ramsey was first A Corporal vnder my Command and then after that I made him A quarter Master who behaued himselfe very faithfully and Honestly in his Ma[jes]ties seruice And while he was Taken prisoner at Alton and Carreed to London and put in to the Gate house and there to be tried for his Life and Ever since hath kept himselfe in an Honest Reputation and faithfull in all his Dealeings as his neighbers Can testifie where About he dwelleth which I Can testifie giuen vnder my hand and seale this fowerteenth of August 1664.
