To ye wor[shipfu]ll ye Justices of ye peace of ye County of Denbighe.

These are certifie you yt Rowland Jones of Llansillin in ye County of Denbighe Corviser, hath been a souldier vnder my Comaund in ye regim[en]t of ye Lord Richard Harbert from ye yeare of our Lord 1642 till after ye battle of Nasbye, and hath been before, vpon ye seu[er]all services of Cirencester, Bristow, Glocester, ye battles of ye Nuberyes, & yt fatall one of Nasbye & hath rec’d seu[er]all hurts & maymes w[hi]ch makes him vnable to gett his subsistence hauinge Continued faithfull to his late ma[je]stie of blessed memory, as alsoe to his present ma[je]stie by not takinge armes ag[ain]st his interest: w[hi]ch premisses is attested by mee ye 28th day of March 1665.
