Theise are to Certifie all men (whome theise may Concerne) That the bearer hereof Rowland Hughes hath for many yeares last past served his Ma[jes]tie in the Regim[en]t of Col[one]l S[i]r John Owens knight vnder my Com[m]and, and therein behaved himselfe very faythfull, and still is royally affected and hath alsoe in that service had and rec[eive]d many sore and grievous wounds as witnesseth my hand quinto Jan[uar]ii 1660.
