Theise are to Certifie all Whome it may concerne

That the bearer hereof Roger Hellaker of Horningsham in the County of Wiltes[hire] Taylor served his late Ma[jes]tie of ever blessed memory in all his Warrs from the beginning vnto the end thereof as a Trooper vnder the Comaunds of the late Lord Hopton deceased, and of the Lord Gooringe in the Troope of Captaine Staples and hath received many desperate and dangerous Wounds in his body dureinge his said service as namely in his head hee hath had seu[er]all peeces of his scull taken forth by reason of a blowe with a Polleaxe and hath as yet a Bullett in one of his Thighes that hee cannot sitt att his trade nor travaile soe that hee hath ben (vnder the late vsurpinge powers) & still is exposed to great nescessity haveinge a Wife & Tenn Children to mayneteyne
