We whose names are hereunder written beinge p[ar]ishioners of the p[ar]ishe of Burlescombe in the County of Devon, doe hereby Certifie unto your wor[shi]pps That Robert Landman of our said p[ar]ishe was a longe tyme in the Kings Ma[jes]ties service & was wounded in the said service, of w[hi]ch wounde he is not cured untill this present tyme, By meanes whereof he is unable to gett his maintenance & livinge, he the said Robert Landman havinge nothinge to maintaine & releive himselfe & his poore family.

In witnes whereof we have hereunto sett our hands the Second daye of October in the Twelfth yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of God of England Scotland France & Ireland Kinge defender of the faith 1660
