To the Worshipfull the Justices of the peace for the County of Denbigh att their Generall quarter Sessions of the peace held for the sayd County.

Theis are to Certifie that Robert John Gruffith of Llanyfydd in this County of Denbigh yoman your worshipps petitioner in the petition annexed hath for seuerall yeares serued his Late Majestie Charles the first of famous memory in the late vnhappy warres in my fathers Company in the Regiment of Col[one]l Hugh Wynne and that during the sayd service and ever since he hath behaued himselfe very faithfull and Loyall; Wherefore and for that att pr[e]sent he is become very poore and indigent I humblie recom[m]end him to your worshipps as a person fitt to receaue a pension [illegible] for his reliefe according to the Acte of Parliament made for the reliefe of Indigent and Loyall souldiers [illegible] I doe further certifie that one Richard ap Robert of the same Company and parish is now dead in whose stead and place he desires to be admitted.
