Thiese are humbly to certifie that the bearer hereof Rob[er]t ap Hugh of the p[ar]ish of Llanrhaid[er] hath beene a souldier vnder my Comaund at Denbigh Castle dureing ye tyme the same was Garrison for his late ma[jes]tie Charles of blessed memory & hath behaved himself true & loyall in that tyme & since, dated ye 13th day of Aprill 1664.
