The certificate for Margreate Perrin of Wybunbury, Cheshire, Trinity 1651

To the Right Worsh[ipful] the gent[lemen] Justices of the Peace and the Treasurer for prissoners and Maymed Soldiers And other the Gent[lemen] whom theese may Concerne &c. at theese present sessions

Vpon the ernest request of Margreate Perrin of Wibunbury in the Countie of Chester widdow: wee whose names are subscribed the Minister Churchwardens and other the inhabitants of the saide towneshipe of Wibunbury: Doe hereby Certifie that the said Widow is in very poore and weake estate haueing but small meanes to maintaine her selfe and Children with: and whereas your worsh[ips] weare pleased, vpon the s[ai]d widdows Pet[ition] (informeing yt her late husband died vpon a Shott receiued in a fight at Lee Bridge) to grant you[r] order for her to receiue a quarterly pension to wards her maintenance wee humbly Conceiue you will still be pleas[e]d to Continue the same, Considering her nescessity &c And that it would please this hon[our]able bench to enlarge her pention as they thinke convenient, and the poore widowe and her children (as they are bound) will eu[er] pay &c
